43-year-old female
History
A 43-year-old female with history of breast cancer with left mastectomy for stage 1 carcinoma, post-chemo therapy treatment.
CT Findings
Elongated mass of abnormal tissue in anterior mediastinum. Questionable metastatic disease or scarring as the result of breast reconstruction surgery.
PET Findings
Minimal FDG uptake in the anterior mediastinum consistent with thymic hyperplasia. Increased uptake in the trapezius muscles of the neck and the paraspinal muscles. No evidence of metastatic disease in the chest or elsewhere in the body.
